Project Summary

Located in the San Joaquin Valley in Central California, the UC Merced campus is sited on 910 acres and showcases a true commitment to sustainability.  UC Merced is the only American university with every building on campus being LEED certified.  In parallel with this vision, the originally LEED-NC certified Central Plant pursued a LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance certification.  As a two-story building consisting of office spaces, conference rooms, mechanical space, and support spaces. The Central Plant sought to improve on their already sustainable measures by improving their operations, achieving increased comfort for building occupants, and maximizing LEED potential through previously documented credits as well as LEED master site credits.
